The Red Edit: How To Add A Pop To Your Wardrobe ❤️
If there is a defining colour of 2024 (so far), it has to be red - and long may in continue.
The beauty of red, is that it is such a strong, vibrant colour and thus acts as an instant mood booster (for me there is nothing better than freshly done red nails!) but also timeless enough to know it is a colour we can bring year after year, styled in different ways and still look and feel great.
Whether you prefer a pop from accessories or to go big and bright with clothing, there is most definitely a way you can work red into your wardrobes.
We love to mix up how we style red - going for bold monochrome stripes, adding in some clashing pink and our current favourite, with leopard.

Leopard & Stripes
This has to be one of our favourite ways to keep red throughout the outfit, but also super wearable and fun without looking too over styled. Each of the featured separates can be worn time and time again, with so many outfits.

Black & Red
Every Spring / Summer capsule will definitely benefit from a black maxi dress - easy to wear, perfect for day or evening and fun to accessorise. Red accessories and layers are a great way to add that little pop of colour. We have styled our black Broderie Maxi Dress with red ballet flats from Esska Shoes.
Summer Layers
I love an oversized shirt in the Summer as my outer layer, it always looks so effortless and chic especially over a cute vest, and can easily be popped into your bag when the sun gets stronger. Navy, denim & red are an absolutely classic combination. Oversized scrunchies and metallic accessories are also a really fun way update a look.

Adding Metallics
We make no secret of our love for metallics here as Disko Kids, especially when the weather gets warm. Red works so well with a metallic shimmer - our red Love Is Tshirt is screen printed in metallic pink and styled with our sparkly trousers and Slim Chain Molly Necklace.
Don't worry about red & gold being reserved only for Winter, you can absolutely add highlights of red with any colour metallic. We have used our cranberry Farringdon Roka bag to and red nail varnish to add some colour to the outfit above. This would be a perfect festival look. Swap the denim jacket for a black leather jacket to give this outfit a more evening feel.
