It was either The Spin Doctors or The Lemonheads I think!
What was the first gig you went to? No Doubt
Party out or Kitchen Disco? These days party out, away from the kids!!
Talk us through your mixtape - What’s each track / artist and why its on your Mixtape?
Track 1
7 - 11 by Eskimo Disco
This was my husbands band back when we first met and they always knew how to throw a good gig/ party. This always makes me smile and want to dance, plus have you seen the music video they did for it with Pingu in?! Love showing my kids this too.
Track 2
Jurassic 5, Concrete Schoolyard
I used to be a hip hop girl! This track brings back so many memories, mostly of nights out at Funkin' Pussy in Covent Garden when I was 17/18 years old!
Track 3
The Strokes, Last Night
This is my fave song for dancing around - be it in the kitchen or out at a club! It always cheers me up. I used to be an Indie girl too!
Track 4
Don't Speak, No Doubt
Reminds me of break ups and make ups, love Gwen Stefani.
Track 5
Be My Baby by The Ronettes
This was our first dance song, we had a dance routine and all! Me and my husband are big Phil Spector music fans
Track 6
NYC Interpol
Interpol is one of my fave bands and this song reminds me of falling of love.
Track 7
The Blowers Daughter by Damien Rice
Gives me goose bumps everytime I listen to it. Another album I listened to a lot when I met my music mad husband.
Track 8
Justice vs Simian - We are Your Friends
My Party tune!! Gotta shout the lyrics out at the top of your voice :)
Track 9
Wake Up In New York by Craig Armstrong feat Evan Dando
My husband played this to me when we first met and it's the most beautiful moving song that will always remind me of him :)
Track 10
Dr Dre - The Next Episode
Memories of uni days, just love this whole album, will never tire of it.
